Mario Nivoli

Born in Turin in 1975, I graduated in mechanical engineering from
Politecnico di Torino, after getting secondary school diploma in
mechanical engineering from Istituto Tecnico Industriale Agnelli di Torino.
I subsequently obtained a Master degree in Ergonomics from COREP.

I have been an employee for over 15 years, first as a designer and then in charge of technical offices in metalworking companies operating on order and engineering technical offices, operating in Italy and abroad.

I have been involved in the design of different types of products:
metal expansion joints for pressure plants (petrochemical, industrial processes, energy, nuclear)

• components of automation machinery
• ropeway pulleys
• heavy handling machinery
• tilters
• self-propelled trolleys
• hydraulic and electromechanical lifts

dealing with all the various stages of development:

• pre-sales technical activity
• analysis of customer specifications and specifications
• co-operation in the drafting of customer specifications and specifications
• preliminary and detailed design
• dimensioning of bearings and supports
• sizing of trees, toothed wheels, ropes, chains
• structural calculations with analytical and FEM finite element method
• thermo-mechanical analysis
• modal vibrational analysis and frequency response
• CAD drawing
• drafting of inspection and testing plans
• product and process certifications
• coordination of welding activities according to UNI EN ISO 3834
• adaptation of companies to the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 3834, EN 1090 standards
• selection and monitoring of suppliers, expediting activities
• assistance for installation and assembly, erection, commissioning
• training of customers’ operators in the use of systems and machines
• after-sales assistance and inspections in the plant

Goals

Making engineering accessible through a practical and simple approach, without trivializing complexity.
Delve into problems with progressivity, containing costs within real needs, achieving accurate and reliable results, in strict compliance with specifications and standards.
Developing «right» products, at the right cost.
Creating thorough objects and projects, as beautiful as the words that define entire concepts in themselves.
Cooperate with customers, sharing and developing jointly ideas, collect and consolidate knowledge into methods and tools that can be reused in the future.
Laying foundations on which to consciously progress.

Developing lasting collaborative relationships, based on trust and mutual respect.

Cultivating satisfactory working relationships, which produce at the same time professional and economic growth, and development from a human point of view.

Strictness and consistency, meticulousness, contribution of truth.

Making
engineering accessible
via a practical
and
simple approach,
while avoiding
complexity
trivialisation.
